With a Little Help From Their Friends

Post War Wage Slaves have crashed in to the online Indiestore chart at number 2 within a day of the release of their debut single Anyway.Working with Rob Eakins on the Stepclever-funded Amplifi Download record label, the band's thought-provoking, melodic yet hard-edged sound is gathering interest and captivating audiences throughout the North West and beyond.

The co-founders of the Post War Wage Slaves Andy Cowan and David Ruddock met in 2003 through a mutual taste in music. They had  a connection and began to collaborate, penning some of the anthems that you still hear blasting from the stage at one of their gigs.

After a while the duo attended L.I.P.A. and it was there that their eyes were opened to the possibility of  a career in music. Mentored by the likes of Peter Hooten and Keith Mullen of The Farm, Eddie London of China Crisis and Matt Flynn of Honey Records, the pair collaborated with several acts before they formed a band. In 2005 they recruited a drummer to form the band we know today as Post War Wage Slaves.

They became an instant hit and quickly gained a following across the North West, playing Creamfields, the Mathew Street Festival and Oxjam along the way. After they have ensured that Anyway has been widely promoted nationally and internationally, the band are targeting a record deal with a major label and planning their next regional tour.
