There are lots of different funding options for your business, and we can help you figure out what suits you best.
At Stepclever, we have our own grant funding available until Decemeber 2011, but as time is running out for applications enquire NOW to see if you qualify.

Tier 1 Funding
How much? Up to £1,000
Who’s it for? Residents from the Stepclever area* looking to start up in business, or those wishing to set up their business in the Stepclever area*, who need a small amount of funding to help kick start their business. E.g. a new company website, office equipment, company stationery. Tier 1 funding will no longer be available after Monday 19th December 2011.
NB Proof of residency and business address, bank account will be required.
How does it work? There is a simple application form and process to follow and all grants are approved internally. We provide support with filling in the form and with the production of a business plan to supply with the application.
Tier 2 Funding
How much? Up to £6,300
Funding is only available for individuals who are wishing to set up a Social Enterprise Business in the Stepclever area. A specialist support service for anyone wishing to start a new social enterprise is being delivered on behalf of the Stepclever programme by Everton Development Trust and Blackburn House if you are interested in starting up a new social enterprise please call them for an informal chat on 0151 298 2478.

How does it work? We provide support with filling in the application form and with the production of a business plan to supply with the application.
Grants are approved by an Investment Steering group, which is made up of representatives from local businesses.
Tier 3 Funding - Unfortunately all Tier 3 funding is no longer available, all funding has now been committed.
How much? Varies...see below
Who’s it for? Existing businesses based in the Stepclever area* (employing no more than 250 employees) trading for more than 12 months.
There are 2 pots of funding available:
(i) Capital – up to £20k with up to 45% intervention rate
Part funding of up to 45% (in exceptional cases 55%) of costs for capital expenditure that will aid in improving efficiencies in the business and look towards creating jobs e.g. new piece of machinery, IT hardware, building works.
(ii) Revenue – up to £10k with up to 100% intervention rate.
100% of costs of one-off revenue expenditure that will help create jobs e.g. website, marketing. NB this fund will not support ongoing revenue costs such as utility bills, rent or business rates.
How does it work? We provide support with filling in the application form and with the production of a business plan to supply with the application.
Amount of funding received will be linked to the creation of jobs and how much contribution the business is making towards the expenditure.
Grants are approved by an Investment Steering group, which is made up of representatives from local businesses.
